I'm Revna
The Viking of the Sea - 1,000 years ago
Hi, I’m Revna from what you now call Sweden. I explore the seas in a longship and believe in Viking gods such as Thor, god of thunder, and Odin, the one-eyed god of war. Watch out if there is lightning – that will be Thor’s hammer!
Where I come from we wear pendants to protect us from the stormy seas. We use natural materials like sheep’s wool for our cloaks, leather for our shoes, and bones for knives. We trade precious goods such as silver and silk. We try not to waste a thing!
Have you heard of Erik the Red? He gets his name from his red beard. Did you know that he gave Greenland its name? He’s pretty famous. And we have lots of amazing tales about dragons and trolls.
